Symbol

The infamous McDonald logo is known for it's double arc. It is a symbol for a solution to hunger throughout the world. When you think of the symbol it links you to the idea of Ronald McDonald the clown as well. Now when we look at the Double Golden Arc, we can see a few things. First we see what it literally looks like, which is the letter "M". Next if we arc the world McDonald under the "M" we can personify it to become a smiling face with huge eyes from Ronald McDonald. Adding in the color choice of red and yellow, which are commonly used dressing colors (ketchup and mustard). This links back to burger and fries where we apply the most ketchup and mustard.

Abstract

The golden arcs can be broken down into a graphing image of 2 parabolas. When you break it down, it still looks like a "M". It retains properties of the symbol but via the graph, we can calculate the equation for each parabola. So the logo for McDonald can be boiled down to these 2 lines and then we can also go to say that this can be transformed into two mountains as well since Chinese art for mountains are usually very elongated and rounded at the top.

The Roman Colosseum is a historical landmark symbolizing an ancient empire. Whats more is that it represents competition between people, the gladiators. This was a imaged found on Google Image Search, and of course it is a photograph. The picture is taken in modern days but the building itself is the remain of a beautiful complete structure. It looks like it was probably bright marble white in the past and not this faded yellow. We can also look at th exterior design of the building. The many arches can represent doors. The arches are believed to be great support for this enormous building as well.
